Our lab actively develops and adopts community-driven orchestration tools to bridge the gap between experimental hardware and cognitive agents. By prioritizing network-based data access and open-science principles, we ensure our workflows can scale and integrate with broader DOE facilities, synchrotrons, and the global materials research community.
Using Bluesky Tiled for Network-Based Data Access

The adoption of the Bluesky Tiled project at the University of Tennessee Knoxville is an ongoing collaboration with Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) designed to bridge our local lab facilities with the broader instrument orchestration ecosystem. Originating from the synchrotron community and supported by over 50 contributors, this open-source framework is currently being actively integrated into our workflows. Our goal is not just to establish network-based data access for our own instruments, but to connect with and contribute back to global open-science community.
